Map one ordinary meal.
Trace the route from food storage to preparation, cooking and cleanup. Note where people pass each other, appliance doors open and the counter becomes crowded.
- Compare the layout. A galley, corner or single-wall arrangement creates different routes. Test the one that fits the existing room and your habits.
- Store by use. Group preparation tools together and discuss corner storage, pull-outs and drawers for the items you actually own.
- Look up, carefully. Higher cabinetry can add storage, but daily essentials still need a practical place to reach.
- Coordinate light and finishes. Consider task lighting, cabinet faces and the amount of open shelving as one composition.
Bring room measurements and photographs to the design conversation. Any change to walls or utilities needs its own review; an attractive reference image is not a fit test for your home.
